Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions we hear most often about how Sildenford works, what it does (and doesn't do), and how to get the most out of the dashboard.
What exactly does Sildenford do?
Sildenford aggregates market data from the exchanges you connect and runs it through a set of AI-driven analysis models. The result is a dashboard of structured insights — trends, anomalies, and summarised signals — designed to help you interpret information faster. It is a data analysis and decision-support tool, not a trading or advisory service.
Does Sildenford place trades on my behalf?
No. Sildenford does not execute trades, manage funds, or have the ability to move your assets. It only reads and analyses market data to present insights. Any decisions about buying, selling, or holding remain entirely yours, carried out through your own exchange account.
Which exchanges can I connect?
Sildenford is built to work with a range of commonly used exchanges. Supported connections are listed within the product itself, and we periodically add further integrations. If an exchange you use isn't yet supported, it may be added in a future update.
Is my exchange data secure?
We design Sildenford to request only the permissions needed for read-only data analysis wherever an exchange's API allows it. We do not require withdrawal or transfer permissions to generate insights. For full details on how data is handled, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
Do I need trading experience to use Sildenford?
Sildenford is built to be approachable for everyday investors rather than only specialists. That said, the dashboard presents analytical output, not guaranteed outcomes, so a basic understanding of the markets you're involved in will help you interpret the insights more effectively.
How often is the data updated?
Market data and derived insights are refreshed on an ongoing basis as new information becomes available from connected exchanges. Update frequency can vary depending on the exchange and the specific type of analysis being run.
Can Sildenford guarantee profitable outcomes?
No. Sildenford provides analysis and informational insights only. Markets carry inherent risk, and no tool, model, or service can guarantee returns or eliminate losses. Any figures, trends, or signals shown should be treated as one input among many in your own decision-making process.
Is Sildenford a registered financial advisor?
No. Sildenford does not provide personalised financial, investment, or legal advice. The dashboard is a data analysis tool intended to support your own research and decisions. If you need tailored advice, we recommend consulting a qualified, licensed professional.
What happens if an exchange connection fails or changes its API?
Exchanges occasionally update their systems, which can temporarily affect data connections. When this happens, affected insights may be paused or show as unavailable until the connection is restored or updated on our end.
Can I disconnect an exchange at any time?
Yes. You can review and remove connected exchange accounts from within your Sildenford settings at any time. Disconnecting stops further data analysis for that account going forward.
Is Sildenford suitable for both beginners and experienced investors?
The dashboard is designed to be clear enough for newer users while offering enough analytical depth to be useful to more experienced ones. Features and insight types may be explored at your own pace depending on your familiarity with the markets you follow.
